Elysium

Elysium. Where Materral's trades will be placed.

Arbitrage is a race, and Elysium is the fastest track on Hyperliquid: 100 ms blocks, about 300 ms receipts, roughly 100× the gas throughput of HyperEVM, and contracts that read and trade Hyperliquid's order books directly. It is where materral will place the trades it finds, next to Hyperliquid liquidity, with a record of every fill.

Two layers#

Materral is two separate pieces of work. Keeping them apart is what lets discovery ship today while execution waits for Elysium to go live.

LayerWhat it doesWho runs itStatus
Discovery and evaluationReads live books and pools, finds gaps, prices every cost at your size, tracks each gap over timeMaterralLive
Paper tradingFills walked against live books, expected against realised, 24-hour replayMaterralLive
ExecutionPlaces real orders for a gap, enforces limits, records the fillMaterral's Router on Elysium, with Hyperliquid direct as fallbackPlanned

Elysium does not find opportunities and Materral does not depend on it to show them. Elysium is where the orders go.

What Elysium is#

Elysium is an EVM chain from Kinetiq, built to sit close to Hyperliquid: contracts on Elysium are meant to read HyperCore state and send orders to HyperCore through a dedicated lane. Its own venues, starting with Nest, trade on Elysium directly.

How to read this table. Only the testnet has been checked by us. Everything marked announced comes from Elysium's public material and third-party coverage, and is treated as unconfirmed until Kinetiq publishes addresses and interfaces. Nothing in the app claims Elysium execution that has not happened.

Why build execution on Elysium#

  1. One account#

The trader's 0x wallet is the same identity on Elysium, HyperEVM and HyperCore. Deposits, positions and fills all sit under one address.

  2. Checks enforced by a contract#

Before a trade is sent, Materral's Router reads the books through the read precompile and refuses the trade if the gap has closed, slippage is past the limit or size is over the cap. The check is on-chain, not only in our interface.

  3. Atomic trades between Elysium venues#

When both legs are Elysium pools, both swaps go in one transaction: either both fill or neither does.

  4. A record of every fill#

Every routed trade leaves an on-chain record of what was expected and what was realised, with fees. Traders and partners can audit it.

  5. Close to the liquidity#

HyperCore legs reach the Hyperliquid book through Elysium's lane, without the trader running their own bot or holding funds on another chain.

What stays the same#

  • Funds stay in the trader's account. Materral never holds withdrawal rights. Orders are signed in the trader's wallet or by a trade-only key they approve.
  • Discovery keeps every venue. Exchanges, HyperEVM pools and HyperCore stay in discovery whether or not a trade on them can be routed through Elysium.
  • Honest labels. Every ticket and fill shows the route it used. A paper trade is always labelled as paper.

What we are confirming with Kinetiq#

These decide the final design of the Router and the routing rules. Each is open until Kinetiq's documentation answers it.

TopicThe question
Order laneExact interface and address; predeploy or precompile; which HyperCore actions it supports (limit, IOC, cancel, modify)
Keeper trust modelWho runs the keepers, how a trader authorises them, what a keeper can and cannot do, and what happens if one is late or offline
LatencyMeasured intent-to-order time on mainnet, and how a partial fill or a rejection is reported back on-chain
Read precompileBook depth, refresh cadence, gas cost, and whether it is available at launch
BridgeDeposit and withdrawal flows between Elysium, HyperEVM and HyperCore, the challenge period, and fees
VenuesWhich venues are live at launch, their fee tiers, and any market-maker or builder programme

Next: Trade routing shows how an order moves from a gap to a fill, and Roadmap shows what ships when.
